When do you consider it to be Fall? Do you go by the calendar or have another reference? I personally don't use the official date on the calendar. Instead, I judge it by the weather, foliage, and hunting seasons.  This Saturday, October 15th, opens the Upland season here in Massachusetts, fall Trout is in full swing, and the foliage is starting to turn.  This is the best time of the year! The next 6 months will be full of Trout fishing, hunting, hiking, snow shoeing, camping, foliage viewing, snowboarding, and shoveling the driveway. Doesn't get better than that.
